Protecting Preloved Border Collies

Protecting Preloved Border Collies, Nationwide, ., united-kingdom

Protecting Preloved Border Collies is a growing network of Border Collie lovers. Incorporating owners, rescues, fosterers and behaviorists, they offer a safety net for Collies that are advertised free on websites such as Preloved, Gumtree and Freeads.

Many people are horrified when they realise that by giving their dog away, they are less likely to find a safe loving home than if they asked for payment. The bottom line is, if a person is truly looking to give a good home to a Collie, they would be happy to pay for it.

Their aim is to be a voice for these Collies that are in danger of being given away to the wrong people. The dog-fighting community takes free cats and dogs to use as bait. Unscrupulous ‘puppy-farmers’ use free un-neutered bitches for continuous breeding.  They are a safety net for these Collies. They can offer help to find a safe place, foster or forever home for their dog.
