Banana Cookies
Your pooch won't have paws for thought over these cookies!
Makes 30-40 cookies
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15-20 minutes
You will need:
- 300g (10 oz) Wheat and gluten free flour
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 Small banana mashed
- 1 Tablespoon raw honey
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon virgin, unrefined Coconut Oil
- 2 Tablespoons cold water
Preparation
1. Mix all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl until they come together to form a dough. If the mixture is too dry add a little more cold water.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until firm then roil out to a thickness of 5 cm. Cut out your cookies using your chosen cookie cutter.
2. Transfer the cookies on to a greased baking sheet leaving 1 cm between each cookie and brush with the beaten egg. Bake in a preheated oven 160 C for 15-30 minutes.
Remove from oven and leave to cool on a wire rack.
Store in an airtight container and keep in a fridge for up to 3 days.
Offering your dog an occasional small portion of a banana will provide him with a tasty treat and some nutritional benefits also. Bananas are rich in potassium and vitamin C.
