Home Visiting Veterinary Service | Warwick
Paw'sonalised veterinary care for your pet in the comfort of your own home.
Pawsitive Vet Care provides home visits for companion animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits and other ‘small furries’ for routine consultations and minor ailments, as well as end-of-life care.
Having a vet come to your home will help to reduce your pet’s stress levels and will make the veterinary experience a positive one.
Most veterinary practices only allow 10 minutes for each appointment, this can make the consultation feel rushed and in turn stressful for the vet, pet, and owner.
Pawsitive Vet Care consultations are flexible, they can last between 30 - 40 minutes, without time restraints, you can enjoy a relaxed consultation where treatment plans, medicines can be properly explained. This allows a more personalised treatment plan to be determined to benefit both you and your pet.
In an emergency or if you have any concerns call please Helen for advice on 07410 411461
If unavailable, call Medivet Leamington Guy veterinary hospital in Leamington Spa on 01926 423161. They have hospitalisation facilities with an on-site laboratory, diagnostic imaging suite and operating theatre and vet on-call for emergencies 24/7

Services
Pre-purchase Consultations
The pre-purpose consultation service is aimed at helping you make the right decision about which pet is best suited to your lifestyle and help you to think through the many different aspects of pet care.
This will bring emotional and financial benefits by helping you to avoid making the wrong decision.
Well Pet Visits
These check-ups are aimed to keep your pet happy and healthy and reduce the need for veterinary clinic visits. Services include:
• Vaccinations
• Parasite prevention
• Repeat prescriptions
• Microchipping
• Pre-breeding examinations
• Weight loss programs
• Travel and Pet Passport advice
• Nutrition advice
• Behaviour advice
• Nail clipping
• Anal gland emptying
• Blood pressure monitoring
Routine Check-Up
Routine check-ups are aimed at keeping your pet healthy and happy. As the saying goes, “prevention is better than cure”. A well-pet check will last at least 30 minutes.
You will be sent a questionnaire before the visit and will get the most out of the visit if you fill this in and return it to Helen beforehand.
Sick Pet Check
If your pet is very unwell, they are often best seen at a veterinary clinic as there will be more facilities for investigations and more medications kept in stock for immediate use. However many minor ailments can be dealt with at home including:
• Vomiting and/or diarrhoea with no loss of appetite and otherwise bright and happy
• Skin Irritations
• Ear infections
• Incontinence or excessive urination if your pet is otherwise well
• Eye problems if the eye is comfortable
• Lumps

Dr Helen Perryman MRCVS
❛ I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009. Since then I have worked at a variety of small animal clinics, in Kent, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. I have lived in Warwick for the past 6 years and really love the area.
I decided I was going to be a vet aged 10 and loved watching programs such as Animal Hospital and All Creatures Great and Small when I was growing up. I have shared my home with various ‘small furries’ over the years and would love to have a dog and cat when my home situation is suitable.
My particular veterinary interest areas are the management of long-term medical cases, rabbit medicine and behaviour. I have run the Happy Pets for Life website for a few years with the aim to inform and support owners, particularly those with pets suffering from long-term health conditions. I am now delighted to be able to offer a home visiting vet service, taking the stress out of vet visits for my patients and allowing a more comprehensive service to be provided with more time to spend with my patients and clients.
Outside of work my particular interests are cycling, gardening and skiing. I am very involved in my church and I see my job as a vet as part of my calling from God. ❜
