Here at Abbey Vets Monmouth, we provide a caring and professional small animal veterinary service, with a devoted, friendly team of vets, nurses, and receptionists.

Whatever your pets need, we're here to help!

Abbey Vets Monmouth was formed in summer 2016 following the merger of Elms Vet Surgery and Monnow Bridge Vet Surgery. It is a branch of Abbey Vets Abergavenny. We have recently moved to a lovely, new purpose-built site on Rockfield Rd next to the Co-op, only .5mile away from Drybridge St.

We can provide a complete array of services, including surgical operations, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging and nurse clinics.

We provide hospitalisation and out of hours care in Abergavenny, where nurses live on site. Abbey Vets also employ vets with special clinical interests, including soft tissue, orthopaedics, cardiology, radiology, ultrasound, dentistry, exotic pets, and children's pets.

Cannot recommend Abbey Vets in Monmouth enough after our experiences the past couple of months. Our poor kitty needed a leg amputated and was unlucky to contract a huge infection.
Vet Chris has been incredible every step of the way and kept us informed of all our options with realistic expectations of outcomes so we were confident in making the right choices every time. He seems to have been personally invested in Smudge's recovery, as have the rest of the staff who ask how she is doing whenever we pick up medication and have been very patient and helpful with all our calls and questions (at one stage multiple times per day).
Could not have asked for better service (and yes Smudge has pulled through and is truly on the mend now!) ?
