Should I make The Switch To Raw Dog Food?

Why Feed Raw Food?

Raw food for dogs has always been the best-kept secret of top breeders, show and agility people, but there was never much on the market to support a pre-made approach.  In the last few years the tides have turned and more ordinary pet owners are becoming interested in feeding a more natural product.

As a result, there are now a number of complete raw foods on the market and last year, myself and my team decided to start Nutriment to take complete raw food to the next level.  By offering exceptional quality ingredients, nutritional knowledge and a much more approachable way of packaging and delivering, Nutriment has now become the go-to company for discerning pet owners who have now realised that most of the dry dog foods contain ingredients that they would not necessarily want their best friends to consume.

To put it very simply, we aim to feed a diet similar to what a dog would eat in the wild.  This is made up of meat, bones, offal and fresh vegetables with the nutritional analysis being the same as any processed foods on the supermarket shelves - yet the vitamins are naturally sourced, instead of added synthesised supplements.

It is a sad fact that the number of illnesses in dogs is on the rise.  Skin problems, allergies, pancreatitis and colitis are daily stories we hear from new customers.  We are lucky enough to know that raw feeding can often go a long way to help these conditions and so we are able to offer support whilst we find the right diet to make a difference.

I will end this with a couple of before and after pictures of some more severe cases of dogs who went on to our food.  Both are dogs with long-term skin conditions due to nutritional allergies.

Both pictures are taken just a few months apart and I hope you will agree that the difference between them has been extraordinary.
