AnimalAction began in 2003. We started with the re homing of Puppies brought from Ireland.

The Hearing Dogs Society would run some tests on the pups and take their own and we would home the remainder.

Sometimes 25 pups would come in one trip and need care attention and new homes. Potential adoptees would initially have photos of pups before they arrived and give us some idea of their preferences. Home checks were done before the pups crossed the Irish Sea.

We also took older dogs who in some cases had been in rescue facilities in Ireland all of their lives; never known the comforts of a home, the warmth of a fire, free cuddles and regular walks!
