 Home Boarding

Unlike boarding kennels, your dog will live as one of the family when in the care of a My Best Friend carer.

All carers will undergo an in-depth interview at home to ensure they're suitable. Above all else, their carers are certified dog lovers!

How it works

• Initial consultation to get to know you and your best friend.

• Find a perfect match for your best friend from our network of carers.

• Send you regular "pup" dates during your best friend's stay

Pet Sitting and Puppy Care

We all worry about leaving our best friends home alone but sometimes real life just makes it inevitable. If you have a dog that is unable to join MBF for longer walks then their pet sitting and puppy care service is perfect for you.

They come to your home and provide your pet with a 30-minute visit to check food, water and a short walk to stretch their legs.

This service is ideal for the older dog who is happy to snooze all day or even a puppy who is not yet ready for full walks.

They also cater to a wide range of small domestic animals

How It Works

• Initial consultation to get to know you and your best friend.

• 30-minute visits.

• All pet sitters are DBS checked.

Combine your love of dogs with a fulfilling part-time job at your own home.

My Best Friend is looking for people across their network to host dogs in their own homes when their owners can’t.  It might be for a day, a couple of nights or even a fortnight.

If you love dogs and you’re at home for most of the day you could be just the person they are looking for.

About Kerri Lovelock-Scarna

Growing up in very rural areas and being a farmer’s daughter, I have a natural love of the countryside.  I have always been a hands-on, outdoor girl. With a genuine passion for animals – big or small and have dreamed of starting my own business which involves being outside in the fresh air and working with animals. By uniting with My Best Friend, I have been given the opportunity to combine all of this in one!

I have grown up with a number of different breeds. Ranging from Miniature Dachshunds and Jack Russells to Labradors and Border Collies to Giant Schnauzers and Dogues de Bordeaux.

Having had family dogs all my life I will look after your dog as if they were my own. Whilst in my care I realise the importance of ensuring your companion enjoys adventurous walks; with plenty of sniffing, physical and mental stimulation. My aim is to keep those tails wagging!

I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged friends soon.
