At Barking Mad, we place your dog in a family home whilst you are on holiday. Covering Northumberland, from Bamburgh, Seahouses and Alnwick in the North and down to Monkseaton, Cramlington and Seaton Deleval in the South, and over to Rothbury and Thropton in the West. Prior to your holiday, we arrange to pop out and meet you and your furry friend. We like to know all about their home routine, their likes and dislikes, feeding, exercise and sleeping arrangements. Once we fully understand your needs, then we will match your dog up to the best host family most suited to their needs. Our host families are very special people; mainly retired or stay at home parents. This is important to us, as we want our hosts to be at home to care for your dog and give them plenty of attention and company. 

We will come to collect your dog at the beginning of the holiday. We ask that you provide their holiday essentials such as food, bed, toys, lead, medication etc. We want to create a lovely home from home environment so having their own bits and bobs is very important. We will contact you when they have settled your precious pooch in at the host family. We'll contact you the next day too, to let you know how they have settled overnight. We know you will be thinking about them and we really dont want you to worry. We then bring your dog home at the end of the holiday, with a postcard written by the host, so you can hear about all the fun they've had.
