A lovely dog friendly holiday cottage in the Lake District with fantastic views of the Langdale Pikes.
Spindle Coppice beautiful cottage with fantastic views over the Langdale Valley and Pikes. It is an idyllic spot – truly away from it all.
Spindle Coppice is a traditional detached cottage in a rural location approximately 1km from Elterwater and Skelwith Bridge and 100 meters from the Cumbrian Way which provides access to a wide variety of walks.
The cottage has amazing views across the Langdale Valley and Pikes which includes Loughrigg Fell, Silver Howe, Harrison Stickle, Lingmoor and Crinkle Crags.
Spindle Coppice provides accommodation for up to 6 people.The ground floor comprise of a large lounge, a dining room, a cosy snug, a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a kitchen leading onto utility room and WC.
The kitchen is newly fitted with high quality units. Appliances include electric fan oven and hob, fridge freezer, drinks cooler, dishwasher and microwave. The utility includes a washing machine and tumble drier.
On the first floor the landing leads to 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and a family bathroom.
There is gas fired central heating throughout and this is complemented by a wood burning stove in the dining room and open fire in the living room. Perfect for those winter evenings!
Both the dining room and living room feature lovely wood beams and the living room has a bay window seat with fantastic views which change daily (sometimes hourly!) with the weather. There is also a fantastic variety of wildlife and birds around.
Outside is a well established garden including a feature pond and a stone flagged patio seating area where guests can enjoy lovely views. The sun sets are spectacular set against the backdrop of the mountains in the summer.
There is parking for three cars. Access to the cottage is via some steps as it is elevated on the hillside.
This cottage has access to walks towards Elterwater, Colwith Force, the Langdale Pikes and to the rear over Park Fell towards Hawkshead and Tarn Hows making it an ideal location if you enjoy walking.
There are several Pubs and Cafes along these walks. Skelwith Bridge Hotel & Talbot Bar, and Chesters by the River Cafe is a pleasant walk along the Cumbrian Way.
