The Nottinghamshire Dog School team have extensive experience in animal behaviour, and are all passionate positive-reinforcement advocates.

We provide a range of group classes, workshops & seminars in the local community to help owners teach foundation skills for real life and prevent undesirable behavioural problems from developing.

Our classes aim to improve the bond between dogs and their owners – providing a fun, stimulating and informative environment to learn basic household manners, while working to identify and prevent problem behaviours. We believe training should be accessible and enjoyable; that's why we use methods that can be utilised by all members of the family.

The Team

Chelsea Martin - Head Coach 

Chelsea is a professionally certified dog trainer from Seattle, Washington. Her love of dogs stemmed from assisting puppy mill rescue groups with fostering and rehoming.

With over 10 years of experience teaching private and group classes, Chelsea specialises in behaviour modification. Over the past decade, Chelsea has managed a large doggie daycare & training facility, worked in a veterinary hospital and spent time as a pet nutrition specialist.

Sam Spurr - Coach 

Sam has 2 years of experience working within a rescue setting, this includes working for Dogs Trust as a Canine Carer before coming to Dog School. Sam also has a BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare degree.

She has also completed relevant work experience in a training and behaviour setting, volunteering with various assistance dog charities, and has previously helped out with Dog School training classes to enhance her knowledge.
